28. IGA WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY FOR SWORN BASIC TRAINING ACADEMY Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (AZDCRR) regarding the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sworn Basic Training Academy. This Agreement allows ADCRR’s law enforcement recruits to participate in scheduled MCSO Sworn Basic Training Academies at a cost of $750 per registrant. The term effective November 1, 2024, and when signed by all parties through October 31, 2026, plus two, one-year automatic renewals. This Agreement allows MCSO to provide training to the community’s law enforcement recruits in MCSO scheduled sworn training academies, providing space is available. ADCRR is responsible for providing worker’s compensation insurance, salary, benefits, weapons, ammunition, uniforms, and automobile liability coverage for its recruit participants.
