68. TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF RETIRING EQUINE JACK Approve the transfer of ownership of retiring mounted equine Jack, to Sgt. Matthew Fox, SN #S1733. Jack has served the Office with distinction, professionalism and reliability while participating in patrol operations, community engagement events, crowd management details and various law enforcement support functions. Jack is a 23-year-old Quarter horse and is suffering from ongoing medical issues that limit his ability to safely and effectively perform mounted patrol duties. His medical issues have caused his service to be limited over the past year. Due to these medical conditions, it is in his best interest to be retired. Sgt. Fox is aware of the medical issues and willing to accept full care and financial responsibility for Jack upon adoption and will be asked to sign the Release and Indemnification.
