55. IGA WITH CITY OF MESA FOR THE PERMITTING AND ANNEXATION OF POWER ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the City of Mesa for the permitting and annexation of improvements to Power Road from Baseline Road to Guadalupe Road. The City of Mesa is currently constructing Monterey Park which is adjacent to Power Road. In 2006, Maricopa County and the City entered into a separate Intergovernmental Agreement for Improvements to the roadway (C-64-07-210-0-00). As part of that Agreement, the City was required to annex the improvements. As a result of the annexation not being completed, the City is required to obtain permits to work within the County’s right-of-way to construct the necessary driveway access points to Monterey Park. The City will begin the annexation process upon the Board of Supervisors’ approval of this Agreement. Either Party may terminate this Agreement at any time before the expiration date by furnishing the other Party with a thirty (30) day written notice. Supervisory District No. 2 (C-64-23-272-X-00)
