87. IGA WITH CITY OF PHOENIX FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THE (TE088) CONNECTED VEHICLE ACCELERATION ZONE PROJECT (Supervisorial Districts: 3 and 5) Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix Fire Department (City) to deploy interoperable Connected Vehicle (CV) and Vehicle to Everything (V2X) technologies within the County as part of the Connected Vehicle Acceleration Zone (Project). The Project seeks to enable vehicular communication with each other, other road users and roadside infrastructure. This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect until the 2028 termination of grant funding. After the completion of the grant further commitments may be negotiated via amendment or subsequent agreement. This Agreement may be amended only upon written Agreement by all Parties. The Project is funded from local funds and through a federal grant award. The County will act as Lead agency for planning, design, procurement, construction and construction management for the Project. The City has provided a total local match contribution of $1,987,000 via an Agreement with the City of Phoenix Streets Department. All vehicles in the program will be public vehicles, emergency vehicles, and transit vehicles. All data is anonymous, all "IDs" used in the system are system-generated and don't tie back to license plates, vehicle identification numbers or other identifiable information. The program is not collecting license plate data, videos, or photos, or any other personally identifiable data. (C-64-26-161-X-00)
