24. FY 2023 BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FOR COURT CONNECT Pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17106(B), authorize the following appropriation adjustments to the FY 2023 budget: 1. Increase the expenditure authority in the Superior Court (D800) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) budget by $3,800,000. 2. Decrease the expenditure authority in the Adult Probation (D110) Detention Fund (255) Operating (OPER) budget by $1,700,000 3. Decrease the expenditure authority in the Juvenile Probation (D270) Detention Fund (255) Operating (OPER) budget by $2,100,000 3. Approve a decrease to the FY 2023 fund transfer from the General Fund (100) to the Detention Fund (255) by $3,800,000 4. Decrease the expenditure authority in the Non Departmental (D470) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) budget in the transfer line “Jail Excise Maint of Effort Above Base” (4712) by $3,800,000. 5. Decrease the revenue authority in the Non Departmental (D470) Detention Fund (255) Operating (OPER) budget in the transfer line “Jail Excise Maint of Effort Above Base” (4781) by $3,800,000. 6. Offsetting revenue and expenditure appropriation adjustments for the fund transfer in the Eliminations (D980) Eliminations Fund (900) Operating (OPER) by $3,800,000. These actions will have a net zero impact on the County-wide budget and do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105. Court Connect is the technology system that allows the Superior Court to conduct remote hearings in wide range of court matters. The requested budget adjustments are necessary to move funding to the Superior Court General Fund Operating budget from the Adult Probation and Juvenile Probation Detention Fund Operating budgets to allow the Court to pay for a multi-year agreement for the ongoing use of Court Connect.
