51. AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH DIGNITY HEALTH DBA ST. JOSEPH’S HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER, MERCY GILBERT MEDICAL CENTER, AND CHANDLER REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Approve the third Amendment to the Dietitian Observer Agreement with Dignity Health, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation d/b/a St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, and Dignity Community Care, a Colorado nonprofit corporation d/b/a Chandler Regional Medical Center to provide clinical nutrition training experience for graduate students in the dietetic internship. The agreement is non-financial, and the term is to be from the later of August 1, 2023, or the last date signed through July 31, 2028. As a part of its established accredited dietetic internship program, the Department of Public Health seeks to provide its dietetic interns with a broad and diverse practicum experience. This agreement with Dignity Health will allow dietetic interns to continue to receive approved practicum experience in clinical nutrition. Supervised by Dignity Health registered dietitians in Dignity Health facilities, interns would continue to be responsible to Public Health. This agreement is non-financial and does not affect the County general fund. (C-86-15-019-3-04)
