7. ES-2024-002 SOLID WASTE VARIANCE Pursuant to A.R.S. §36-184(B)(5) and §11-251.05, convene the scheduled public hearing to solicit comments and consider the adoption of proposed revisions to Chapter II, Section 5 of the Maricopa County Environmental Health Code (MCEHC). The proposed revisions create alignment with the Arizona Administrative Code by updating refuse collection to once-weekly pickup as the minimum standard and allowing for a variance for less than once-weekly pickup. This item will become effective immediately upon the Board of Supervisors' approval The Maricopa County Board of Health (BOH) reviewed proposed revisions to update the Maricopa County Environmental Health Code (MCEHC) Chapter II, Section 5 [ES-2024-02 Solid Waste Variance] and approved the case for the EROP standard process at a public meeting on July 28, 2025. At the meeting, the BOH approved the case to proceed to the Board of Supervisors for review and possible approval. (C-88-26-007-X-00)
