Nadia Rodriguez - COBX To: Patrice Goodman (CON) Subject: RE: Agenda Item C-25-19-005-D-00 attachment From: Michael Branham - CAOX Sent: Monday, March 4, 2019 2:50 PM To: Timothy Moder - CAOX <MODERT@mail.maricopa.gov > Cc: Michael Branham - CAOX <branhamm001@mail.maricopa.gov> Subject: Unsolicited Product Donation: ES Eye Protection-Law Enforcement/Military Eye ware https://www.esseyepro.com/ During the month of February 2019, Constables effected an Eviction Action which involved the family of a Retired US Army Sergeant Major from the Army's Rangers Regiment, who is now the Regional Director for a Specialty Law Enforcement/Military Company called ES Eye Protection. Mr. Turner was impressed with our professionalism and despite my efforts to persuade him, has sent me eight pairs of the company's tactical sunglasses unsolicited for assignment to our personnel. The Company's catalog shows these glasses to have a retail value of approximately $50.00 per pair and are actually designed to provide eye protection in hazardous situations. I attempted to get him first not to send the items and then to allow me to send them back. Mr. Turner refuses to accept them back He wishes for me to make sure that our personnel furnish him with feedback on the glasses and their use/durability in the field. If we are allowed to accept this tactical eye ware, my plan is to assign them to our appointed deputy constables for their use and review. NO Elected/Appointed Constables will be eligible or receiving said glasses. Respectfully, Michael D. Branham Presiding Constable 1
