AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
CITY OF GLENDALE
I. Maricopa County (“County”) by and through the Maricopa County Human Services Department and
the City of Glendale (“City”) entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA” or
“Agreement”) on or about January 12, 2017. The Agreement effective date is July 1, 2016 through
January 12, 2019. The County provided the City $514,115 in HOME Investment Partnerships
Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide
funding for owner occupied housing rehabilitation and a single family housing construction program.
The County and the City may be referred to individually as “Party” or collectively as “Parties.” The
Amendment shall revise the Agreement termination date to September 30, 2021 and shall increase
the funding amount by $515,985 from $514,115 to $1,030,100.
II. The Parties wish to amend the Agreement as follows:
A. Add an additional Work Statement hereinafter referred to as “2017a Work Statement”.
Funding for 2017a Work Statement shall consist of HOME funds in the amount of $260,109
for rehabilitation of three (3) additional owner occupied single family housing units for low
income residents. The expenditure term for this work statement shall expire on September 30,
2021.
B. Add an additional Work Statement hereinafter referred to as “2017b Work Statement”.
Funding for 2017b Work Statement shall consist of HOME funds in the amount of $255,876
for the acquisition of land and new construction of three (3) single family homes. The
expenditure term for this work statement shall expire on September 30, 2021.
C. All work performed or costs incurred or expended under the previously approved Work
Statements hereinafter referred to as “2016a and 2016b Work Statements” in the amount of
$514,115 shall remain reimbursable under the terms of the original Agreement. The
expenditure term for these work statements shall expire on September 30, 2019.
III. This agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs, contain all the changes made
by this Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same and in
full force and effect as approved and amended.
