Grantor agrees that no buildings, structures, fences or trees shall be placed upon, over or under said parcel of land, except for street, road or driveway purposes, which Grantor agrees shall not interfere with Grantee's exercise of the rights herein granted. Grantee agrees to work with due care in the exercise of its rights on the property and to restore it to reasonably the same condition which existed before the work was performed. Except as provided above, Grantee agrees to pay all direct damages which are caused by the Grantee’s exercise of the rights herein granted. The Grant of Easement printed form is hereby amended to include the following terms: 1. At least (24) twenty-four hours advance notice shall be provided to the Sheriff’s Office and County Facilities Management prior to utility shut off to any area. 2. Perimeter entrance/exit routes or gates shall not be blocked. 3. Entry into and exit from any Jail job site will be coordinated with the Jail Commander/District Commander, or his designee, or the Sheriff’s Office Facility Planning Coordinator prior to the commencement of the project. NOTE: ENTRY AND EXIT COULD BE DELAYED DUE TO UNSCHEDULED INMATE MOVEMENT OR ACTIVITIES. 4. Keys will NOT be left in any Southwest Gas or contractor vehicle or any piece of equipment that is left unattended. 5. If a key is not required to start any vehicle or piece of equipment, then that vehicle or piece of equipment will be disabled so an inmate will not be able to start it if it is not in the immediate control of a contractor. 6. Personal or contractor vehicles parked outside the jail grounds will not be parked within twenty (20) feet of any fence line or within fifty (50) feet of any fence line gate. 7. If cranes or other types of mechanical equipment are to be used or left unattended on jail grounds, a temporary fence must be erected up around them by the contractor. 8. Equipment and supplies will not be staged on jail grounds without prior approval from the Jail Commander/District Commander, or his designee. 9. A minimum of twenty-four (24) hours advance notice shall be provided prior to any digging being done within or near any secured jail perimeter fencing. 10. All excavations MUST be properly marked during daylight hours and adequately illuminated and marked during the hours of darkness. 11. All excavations that go under any Jail fence line or gate MUST be completely back filled and tamped or covered with a heavy steel plates that are secured to the ground except when the contractor is physically working in that excavated area. 12. AT NO TIME WILL A HOLE OR TRENCH, ETC., THAT GOES UNDER OR NEAR A JAIL FENCE OR GATE BE LEFT UNCOVERED IF IT IS UNATTENDED BY THE CONTRACTOR. 13. Equipment and supplies shall NOT be left with twenty (20) feet of any Jail fence or building. Page 1 of 3 of Addendum 14. All ladders left on the job site shall be secured with a pad lock to prevent their use by unauthorized persons. 15. IF DIRECTED BY THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE STAFF, WORK MUST BE STOPPED: THIS ORDER MUST BE COMPLIED WITH AND CONTRACTORS MUST LEAVE IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT QUESTIONS, AS THE SAFETY OF THE CONTRACTORS AND THE STAFF COULD BE IN JEOPARDY. 16. BASED ON SECURITY AND SAFETY ISSUES, STRICTER CONTROLS MAY HAVE TO BE IMPLEMENTED; HOWEVER, THE JOB SUPERINTENDENT WILL BE ADVISED PRIOR TO ANY CHANGES BEING MADE.
