AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
MARICOPA COUNTY
ADMINISTERED BY ITS
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
AND
CITY OF TEMPE
I. Maricopa County (“County”) by and through the Human Services Department and the City of Tempe (“City”)
entered into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“IGA” or “Agreement”) on or about July 28, 2015. The
Agreement effective date is May 20, 2015 through June 30, 2017. The County provided the City with
$1,169,999.11 in HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) to construct a multi-family affordable rental housing to assist eligible low income
veterans and their families and to construct single family homes for eligible low income families. Administrative
Change Order No. 1 was exceuted on or about September 7, 2016 to revise the number of HOME Assisted
Unitse. The County and the City may be referred to individually as “Party” or collectively as “Parties.”
II. The Parties hereby desire to extend the Agreement term from June 30, 2017 to July 31, 2019. The Amendment is
retroactive to July 1, 2017 and shall be effective from July 1, 2017 to July 31, 2019.
III. This agreement is subject to A.R.S. §38-511. The foregoing paragraphs, contain all the changes made by this
Amendment. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain the same and in full force and
effect as approved and amended.

DETERMINED THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS IN PROPER FORM AND WITHIN THE POWER AND
AUTHORITY GRANTED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA.
