A RESOLUTION OF THE FOUNTAIN HILLS SANITARY DISTRICT
BOARD OF DIRECTORS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION
HELD NOVEMBER 7, 2017
WHEREAS, the regular election of the Fountain Hills Sanitary District (the "District") was duly held
on November 7, 2017 by mail ballot and the Election Department of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors
has certified to the District Board of Directors (the "Board") the returns thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Board is required, pursuant to ARIZ. REV. STAT. §§ 16-642(A) and 16-643 to canvass
the election in public not less than six nor more than 20 days following such election and determine the vote for
each person receiving votes;
WHEREAS, the Board is required, pursuant to ARIZ. REV. STAT. § 16-642(B), to submit to the
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (the "County Board") a certified copy of such canvass for presentation
at the next regularly scheduled County Board meeting; and
WHEREAS, the election returns have been presented to and have been canvassed by the District Board.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
FOUNTAIN HILLS SANITARY DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the total number of ballots cast at said regular election was 7,222.
Section 2. That 63 votes were cast for write-in candidates that had failed to duly qualify as write-in
candidates and were rejected.
Section 3. That the votes cast for candidates for the District Board of Directors total as follows:

Section 4. That Gregory M. Dudash and Thomas M. Reski are declared elected to the Office of
Director of Fountain Hills Sanitary District, Maricopa County, Arizona, to hold the office of Director for a term
of four years, commencing January 1, 2018.
Section 5. That the District Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a certified copy of
this Resolution to the County Board for its next regularly scheduled meeting.
