I. 
Maricopa County (“County”) administered by its Human Services Department, 
(“Department”), and Maricopa County Community College District (“Contractor”) fully 
executed a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) on or about March 6, 
2025. The purpose of the Agreement is for the Contractor to provide training programs for 
Maricopa County youth and adult job seekers in rural communities of Gila Bend, 
Wickenburg, Queen Creek, and surrounding areas for the County’s Workforce 2 You 
Program (“Program”).  
 
The Program is intended to improve access to training programs that provide participants 
industry recognized credentials upon completion. Program components include in-person 
training, supported testing if required for credentialing, and direct coordination with County 
staff for career placement post-completion of the Program. The County and the Contractor 
collectively are referred to as the “Parties” and individually as the “Party.” The County 
provided the Contractor with second year of funding in the amount of $500,000, provided 
to the County by the State of Arizona, Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family 
(GOYFF), Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (“WIOA”) Grant Program – Grant No. GR-
WIOA-GOYFF-100123-08Y2 under CFDA/ALN 17.258. The term of this Agreement was 
from December 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. 
 
The Parties entered into Amendment No. 1 on or about September 10, 2025. The 
Amendment amended the name of the Contractor to incorporate (dba) Maricopa 
Corporate College (doing business as) and extended the term of the Agreement from 
September 30, 2025, through September 30, 2026. 
 
II. 
The Parties now agree to enter into this Amendment No. 2 to amend the Agreement as 
follows:

III. 
Section II above contains all the changes to the Agreement made by this Amendment No. 
2. The Agreement is amended to incorporate the changes contained in the Amendment 
No. 2. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain the same and in full force 
and effect as executed by the Parties. This Amendment No. 2 is subject to and 
incorporates the provisions of A.R.S. § 38-511. 
 
IV. 
The Parties have authorized the undersigned to execute this Amendment No. 2, and it 
shall be effective upon approval and signature by both Parties.

The Engineering Technician Program is a comprehensive 12-week initiative designed to prepare 
students for careers in industrial technology and manufacturing. This program provides essential 
certifications, hands-on technical training, and foundational industry knowledge, equipping 
participants with the skills needed to excel in entry-level technician roles. Students will earn an 
OSHA 10 General Industry card and NC3 certifications in Festo Introductory Mechatronics, Level 
One Electricity Fundamentals, and Hydraulics and Pneumatics. Additionally, they will gain 
exposure to core topics from the NCCER curriculum. 
 
The program integrates advanced hydraulics and pneumatics training directly into the core 
curriculum, ensuring all participants acquire specialized fluid power skills. The program will utilize 
state-of-the-art equipment and resources, with a detailed budget outlining educational costs and 
equipment expenses.

The Electrical Technician Introduction Program consists of three courses, within the NCCER 
curriculum; CON103, CON104, and CON131. The program is an eight-week training experience 
designed to equip students with introductory level skills for the electrical trades. Students will earn 
an industry recognized OSHA 10-hour credential and NCCER module certificates. Participants 
will receive hands-on technical instruction at the South Mountain Community College campus 
Construction Trades Institute and a foundation in industry standards, preparing students for entry 
level employment opportunities in the electrical trade.

After completing this program, learners will have the opportunity to take the leading 
national/industry-recognized certification exam(s) essential to entry-level employment in this fast-
growing field:

employment and labor laws, compliance and risk management, hiring and talent acquisition, 
employee relations, and HR operations.

individuals new to the field, this exam preparation course equips learners with the practical

Students will learn basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, including the types of accounting 
information students, the business owner, manager, bookkeeper, or accountant, need to monitor. 
Students will then put all those principles into practice using QuickBooks Online to enter and track 
finances with ease. 
 
This course will give the students hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online to manage 
finances—from recording income and expenses to entering checks and bank transfers to setting 
up a chart of accounts. Students will see how to reconcile their checking account and manage 
credit card and loan payments; create and print invoices, receipts, and statements; track 
payables, inventory, and receivables; create estimates; generate reports; and much more.

This 50-hour course prepares students to function effectively in many of the administrative and 
clerical positions in the healthcare industry. Medical Administrative Assistants, Medical Secretary, 
and Medical Records Clerks are all positions in great demand. This program covers important 
background information on the medical assisting profession and interpersonal skills, medical 
ethics and law, medical terminology, basics of insurance billing and coding, telephone techniques, 
scheduling appointments, medical records management and management of practice finances. 
This program is intended to provide students with a well-rounded introduction to medical 
administration so that a student can gain the necessary skills required to obtain a medical 
administrative assistant position in the healthcare field. 
 
NWCA National Certification: This program meets the necessary requirements to take the 
National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Medical Administrative Assistant (MAAC) Exam. 
 
Clinical Externship: As part of this Medical Administrative Assistant program, you will be 
eligible to participate in a 20 hour clinical externship.
