Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. is applying for Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Subzone designation for the 
property located in District 4 at 9303 W Amkor Way, Peoria, AZ 85383, parcel # 201-02-019, to be included 
in the City of Phoenix Foreign Trade Zone No. 75. FTZ designation will allow reclassification of this property 
from Class 2 with a tax assessment ratio of 15% to Class 6 with a tax assessment ratio of 5% under A.R.S. 
§42-12006. 
On November 20, 2024, Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. was granted a Foreign Trade Zone “no-objection” 
letter by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (C-18-25-034-X-00) for a different location that was 
not formally activated.  The Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. project has been relocated to a new site 
within the City of Peoria and is requesting the Board to approve a new “no-objection” letter for this new 
location.
Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. is a leading outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (“OSAT”) 
provider. They specialize in advanced packaging, including flip chip, memory, wafer-level processing and 
related test services. They have multiple factories in Asia and Europe, and they are headquartered Tempe, 
Arizona since 2005.
The new facility will consist of a 3,306,000 square-foot building on a 104.071 – acre site which will provide 
more than 750,000 square feet of clean room space.  The total capital investment planned is $3.7 billion 
in real property and $3.6 billion in personal property. Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. expects at the end 
of 10 years to create approximately 3,000 direct jobs with an annual payroll of $1.8 billion.

Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. operations will create approximately 3,000 direct and 3,394 
indirect jobs over the next 10 years.


Estimated $1.8 billion in direct personal income and $1.5 billion in indirect personal income for a 
total of $3.3 billion over a 10-year period.

Estimated $43.0 million in direct tax revenues and an additional $8.0 million in indirect tax 
revenues for a total of $51.0 million in tax revenue to Maricopa County over a 10-year period.

Estimated $8.2 billion in direct economic output and an additional $4.3 billion in indirect output 
for a total of $12.4 billion to Maricopa County over a 10-year period.
Property Tax Impact 

Property taxes currently collected for these parcels is approximately $0.00 annually for Maricopa 
County’s portion as a Class 2 property. When the project is completed, property taxes will increase 
to approximately average $2.1 million annually for Maricopa County’s portion as a Class 6 
property in the next 10 years.
