On November 20, 2024, Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. was granted a Foreign Trade Zone “no-objection” letter by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (C-18-25-034-X-00) for a different location that was not formally activated. The Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. project has been relocated to a new site within the City of Peoria and is requesting the Board to approve a new “no-objection” letter for this new location. The total capital investment planned is $3.7 billion in real property and $3.6 billion in personal property. Amkor Technology Arizona, Inc. expects at the end of 10 years to create approximately 3,000 direct jobs with an annual payroll of $1.8 billion. Estimated $8.2 billion in direct economic output and an additional $4.3 billion in indirect output for a total of $12.4 billion to Maricopa County over a 10-year period.
