RESOLUTION NO. R2024.02
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 
OF TEMPE, ARIZONA, TO ACCEPT AND DISBURSE 
GRANT FUNDS FROM TEMPE DIABLOS CHARITIES FOR 
CITY OF TEMPE VETERAN SERVICES (COMMUNITY 
HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES).
WHEREAS, the City applied to Tempe Diablos Charities in the winter of 2022 for funding 
to support the City of Tempe Veteran Services Homelessness Task Force; and
WHEREAS, in July 2023, Tempe Diablos Charities notified the City of its intent to award 
Veteran Services a total of $10,000 in grant funds to help offset the Veteran Services Homelessness 
Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to accept and disburse the Tempe Diablos Charities grant 
funds in accordance with the terms set forth in the grant award letter. 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
TEMPE, ARIZONA, hereby: 
1. Accepts the grant award from Tempe Diablos Charities in the amount of $10,000 to 
be distributed to City of Tempe Veteran Services, through its Community Health and 
Human Services Department, for the Veteran Services Homelessness Task Force.
2. Authorizes City of Tempe Veteran Services to pay for the deliverables as outlined in 
the grant award letter dated July 2023.
3. Gives authority to the City Manager, Community Health and Human Services Director, 
or designee to act as the agent of the City of Tempe to conduct all negotiations, execute 
and submit all documents, including but not limited to applications, agreements, 
amendments, billing statements, and any other necessary or desirable instruments in 
connection with such funding.
