CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 5:31 PM

WORK SESSION PRESENTATION
 
1.
A presentation providing general information and highlights of the financial activity for the City of El
Mirage for FY 2019.  (Finance)
Finance Director Robert Nilles recognized new employee accomplishments in putting together fiscal
year 2019’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  Mr. Nilles introduced McKay Hall of
HintonBurdick CPAs & Advisor.  A presentation by Mr. Hall included financial audit and internal
controls, financial statements and findings.  No material weaknesses or significant deficiencies were
noted.  The State Compliance Report shows an unmodified or “clean opinion” with no reportable
findings.
Mr. Hall provided a summary of the City’s financial highlights as of June 30, 2019; this included net
position, accumulated depreciation, capital assets, total government long-term liabilities, debt service
payments, and fund balances and transfers.
