RE:  1ST AVENUE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

PROPOSAL CLARIFICATION 
 
Mr. Sweetland: 
 
The City would like to proceed with the proposal you submitted on February 2, 2024, and 
updated on June 21, 2024, for the City’s 1st Avenue Drainage Improvement project with the 
following clarifications: 
 
1. The City chooses the scope for the Base Bid Schedule in the amount of $298,188.50. 
Alternate bid Items 5-Alt and 9-Alt will not be required. 
2. Assumptions 
a. Assumption 1, 3 and 4 are acknowledged and accepted. 
b. Assumption 2 requires the closure to be located at the north side of the cul-de-sac. 
There is one resident that lives within the cul-de-sac that will require access. 
3. Clarifications 
a. Clarification 1 & 3 will not be necessary as those are alternate items that will no 
longer be required as noted in Item #1 above. 
b. Clarification 2 is acknowledged and accepted.  The City requests that DBA 
coordinate the installation of the drywell with the City. 
c. Clarification 4 is acknowledged. The City requests that DBA match the color and 
size of the existing decomposed granite as close as possible. 
d. Clarification 5 is acknowledged and accepted. 
4. Exclusions 
a. Exclusions 1, 2 and 5 are acknowledged and accepted. 
b. Exclusion 3 is acknowledged except public information/outreach is necessary as 
outlined in the project Special Provisions which includes (a) providing a video of 
the project site before starting the work, (b) coordinating with the adjacent 
resident with the cul-de-sac closure as noted in in Item 2b above and (c) 
coordinating with the City Court if and when the water service has to be turned 
off. 
c. Exclusion 4 is acknowledged although shoring is anticipated to be required for the 
storm drain pipe installation.
