RESOLUTION NO. R23-35
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GLENDALE,
MARICOPA
COUNTY,
ARIZONA,
ADJUSTING SOLID WASTE FEES PURSUANT TO
GLENDALE CITY CODE; AND SETTING FORTH
EFFECTIVE DATES.
WHEREAS, rate adjustments are necessary to provide the City with adequate
financial resources to maintain uninterrupted solid waste collection and management
services, provide high-quality customer service to Glendale residents, and to remain in
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Field Operations Department is continuously reviewing rates
and fees to ensure timely replacement of equipment and adequate staffing; and
WHEREAS, the fuel surcharge for residential and commercial customers was
evaluated and implemented on September 1, 2022.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as
follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the Glendale City Code, Chapter 18, Article IV,
Section 18-141, a schedule of solid waste services and fees shall be established by
resolution by the City Council.
SECTION 2. That beginning on July 1, 2023, a fuel surcharge of $0.90 will be
applied to all Solid Waste residential and commercial accounts.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, this 23rd day of May, 2023.
