RESOLUTION NO. R24-120 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
GLENDALE, 
MARICOPA 
COUNTY, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING THE ARTS AND CULTURE MASTER 
PLAN FOR THE CITY OF GLENDALE. 
 
WHEREAS, Glendale City Council awarded a contract to Cultural Planning Group, LLC 
on March 14, 2023 to develop a new ten-year Arts and Culture Master Plan for the City of Glendale; 
and 
 
WHEREAS, the contract is for the replacement of the existing Arts Master Plan that was 
originally completed in 2005; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Arts and Culture Master Plan will serve as a roadmap for the City’s Arts 
and Culture Division for advancing arts and culture for the community, and  
 
WHEREAS, the plan was developed with the assistance and insight of city leadership, the 
City of Glendale Arts Commission, a community taskforce, stakeholders and residents; and 
 
WHEREAS, the Glendale Arts Commission was engaged throughout the development of the 
plan and on May 21, 2024, the Commission recommended the proposed Arts and Culture Master Plan 
to City Council for review and adoption; and 
 
WHEREAS, Glendale City Council reviewed and made suggestions to the proposed master 
plan at its workshop on May 28, 2024. 
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDALE as follows: 
 
SECTION 1. That the Arts and Culture Master Plan is hereby approved. The Arts and 
Culture Master Plan is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
