The final day for candidate nomination papers for the McMicken Irrigation District (the “District”) directors’ election was yesterday, July 29, 2024. As there are two director positions up for election this year, and only one candidate petition was filed for each position, the District hereby requests that the Board of Supervisors cancel the November 12, 2024, directors’ election. The District’s Division 1 Director position is up for election this year and Karen Fletcher filed a nomination paper for that seat. The District’s Division 2 Director position is also up for election this year and Lomand Beals filed a nomination paper for that seat. Copies of their nomination papers are enclosed. Please place this matter on the agenda for the next formal Board of Supervisors’ meeting, which we understand will be on August 21, 2024. Please call me if you have any questions.
