The final day for candidate nomination papers for the Buckeye Water Conservation and Drainage District (the “District”) directors’ election was yesterday, July 29, 2024. As there are two director positions up for election this year, and only one candidate petition was filed for each position, the District hereby requests that the Board of Supervisors cancel the November 12, 2024, directors’ election. The District’s Division III Director position is up for election this year, and the candidate who filed a nomination paper for that seat is W.T. Gladden. The District’s Director-at-Large #1 position is also up for election and Trevor Bales filed a nomination paper for that seat. Copies of their nomination papers are enclosed. Please place this matter on the agenda for the next formal Board of Supervisors’ meeting, which we understand will be on August 21, 2024. Please call me if you have any questions.
