Jefferson Street, 10th Floor Phoenix, AZ 85003 Email: Lori.Medaris@Maricopa.Gov Re: Harquahala Valley Irrigation District 2024 Election of Directors Dear Ms. Medaris: Pursuant to A.R.S. § 16-410(A), Harquahala Valley Irrigation District (“HVID”) hereby requests cancellation of its election of directors scheduled and noticed for November 12, 2024. HVID has received only two timely nomination petitions and nomination papers from two candidates. The only qualified electors nominated to fill the two seats are Wade Ferguson and William K. Perry. Enclosed are copies of the referenced nomination petitions and nominating papers. HVID respectfully requests that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors cancel the November 12, 2024 election, and appoint the above-named persons to fill the two director at large seats for three-year terms commencing January 1, 2025. Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional information to timely implement the requested cancellation and appointments. Thank you for your assistance.
