PURPOSE: 
The Finance Department is requesting the adoption of Resolution No. 2654, designating the Chief Fiscal Officer 
for officially submitting the Fiscal Year 2027 Expenditure Limitation Report to the Arizona Auditor General. 
 
BACKGROUND: 
Arizona revised Statutes 41-1279.07(E) requires the governing body of each political subdivision to provide the 
name of the Chief Fiscal Officer (CFO) designated to officially submit the annual expenditure limitation report 
(AELR) to the Arizona Auditor General, by July 31st of each year. 
 
DISCUSSION: 
The Resolution designates Kevin Artz as the CFO for FY 2027. 
 
BUDGET IMPACT: 
This item has no additional budget impact. 
 
RECOMMENDATION: 
Staff recommends the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2654.
