BACKGROUND: The City is authorized to utilize cooperative purchasing contracts under City Code. This Agreement is based on a competitively procured contract between the City of Tempe and Pump Pros International Corporation for the purchase, maintenance, and repair of vertical water pumps. These services support the City’s water and wastewater systems by ensuring the reliability and functionality of critical pumping infrastructure. DISCUSSION: Pump Pros International Corporation provides specialized services for water pumps, including equipment procurement, routine maintenance, and repair services. These pumps are essential components of the City’s water and wastewater systems, supporting the movement and distribution of flow throughout the system. This Agreement establishes an as-needed contract that allows the City to procure equipment and services based on operational requirements. Utilizing a cooperative contract provides cost-effective pricing and ensures compliance with procurement regulations while maintaining system reliability. BUDGET IMPACT: The annual aggregate amount shall not exceed $500,000. Funding is available within the Utilities Department budget and will be expended as needed for equipment and services.
