Water Works Engineers Cooperative Purchasing Agreement

PURPOSE: 
The Utilities Department is requesting the approval of the Cooperative Purchasing Agreement between the City 
of Tolleson and Water Works Engineers, LLC, for on-call water resources engineer services. 
 
BACKGROUND: 
The City is permitted, pursuant to Section 3-5-7 of the City Code, to make purchases under the Cooperative 
Contract at its discretion and with the agreement of the awarded Consultant; and the Cooperative Contract 
permits its cooperative use by other public entities, including the City. 
  
The City and the Consultant desire to enter into this Agreement for the purpose of (i) acknowledging their 
cooperative contractual relationship under the Cooperative Contract and this Agreement, (ii) establishing the 
terms and conditions by which the Consultant may provide the City with the required services and (iii) setting 
the maximum aggregate amount to be expended pursuant to this Agreement related to the services. 
 
 
DISCUSSION: 
 
Water Works Engineers, LLC, provides on-call water resource engineering services. The Utilities Department 
wishes to increase the annual aggregate amount. 
 
BUDGET IMPACT: 
The City shall pay the Consultant an annual aggregate amount not to exceed $400,000 for the services. This 
Agreement shall remain in full force and effect until May 21, 2026 and shall automatically extend for any 
additional period for which the Cooperative Contract is extended.  
 
RECOMMENDATION: 
Staff recommends the City Council approve the Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Water Works 
Engineers, LLC.
