CITY COUNCIL REPORT SUBJECT: First Amendment to Extrication Concepts Professional Services Agreement MEETING DATE: January 14, 2025 TO: Mayor and Council FROM: Michael Young, Fire Chief REVIEWED: Reyes Medrano Jr., City Manager PURPOSE: The Fire Department is requesting the approval of the First Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Tolleson and Extrication Concepts, LLC for Holmatro rescue equipment and maintenance services. BACKGROUND: On September 26, 2024, the City of Tolleson entered into a Professional Services Agreement with Extrication Concepts LLC, a sole-source provider, for specialized equipment and services. The City has identified the need for additional equipment and services beyond the original scope. DISCUSSION: Compensation Adjustment: Increase the aggregate compensation limit from $100,000 to $130,000. Payment Terms: Monthly payments upon successful delivery of products/services and submission of detailed invoices. Non-Default Affirmation: The Contractor confirms that the City is not in default under any terms of the agreement. Conflict of Interest Compliance: The amendment complies with A.R.S. § 38-511. BUDGET IMPACT: The City desires to amend the existing Agreement to increase the annual aggregate amount from $100,000 to $130,000 for additional equipment and services. Funds for this amendment are available in the approved budget under the appropriate accounts designated for professional services and equipment procurement. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approves the First Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with Extrication Concepts, LLC.
