Recommended Protocol for Members and Other Participants All commissioners should have their microphones on mute to keep the background noise out of the chat room. The chair of the meeting should ensure everyone has an opportunity to speak if they would like. Commissioners should use the chat function to inform the Chair they would like to make a statement and the Chair will announce the Commissioners to speak in the order they appear in the chat.

Announcement At the direction of Council, the City Clerk's Office was asked to evaluate the Boards and Commissions program and make recommendations to Council regarding ways the program can improve effectiveness, efficiency, and service to the community. A discussion with Council and a presentation of recommendations will occur at the November 17, 2026 Council Meeting. Materials outlining the proposed recommendations will be available in the Council agenda packet the week prior to the November 17, 2026, Council Meeting. We encourage Commissioners to attend the meeting in person or watch it live for additional information and specifics regarding the recommendations. Recommendations may or may not be accepted by Council, and we welcome any and all public comment. Thank you.

City Council voted on October 20, 2026 to remove Ashanay Earl from the CIAL. Paige Filipek resigned. Any new appointments will occur after the discussion by City Council regarding boards and commissions at the November 17, 2026 meeting.
