Presentation by Rodney Short, Deputy City Attorney, regarding State and Federal legislative guiding principles, priorities, and strategies as well as status of proposed State and Federal actions affecting City of Yuma.

RECAP AND OVERVIEW OF THE 2026 CITY COUNCIL RETREAT

Jay Simonton, Acting City Administrator, will provide a high-level summary of key takeaways, including major themes and identified priorities for future City Council consideration.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal advice for items included on the April 15, 2026, Regular City Council Meeting and the April 14, 2026, Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items:

Discussion, consultation, and/or direction to City Attorney regarding the proposed development of a parcel of real property. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A3, A4, & A7)

Discussion, consultation, and/or direction to City Attorney regarding potential sale of City-owned real property. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A3, A4, & A7)
