102. CHANGE ORDER FOR PARADISE RIDGE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS (Supervisorial District: 3) Approve Change Order No. 6 in the amount of $900,000.00 to the contract, which will allow Wood, Patel & Associates (consultant) to complete the remaining design for the forthcoming work assignments for Paradise Ridge Drainage Improvements (PROJECT). The change order is necessary because the project has become more complex and requires coordination with other projects (ex. ADOT right-of-way), regulatory agencies, and property owners, especially around logistics and construction timing. The change order also includes additional approvals/fieldwork (environmental, archeological, etc.), expedited design, and updates to FEMA maps after the flood improvements are completed. The Paradise Ridge Channel (extending from the southwest corner of Pinnacle Peak Road & Scottsdale Road, south approximately 2.5 miles to State Route 101) was identified in the Pinnacle Peak West Area Drainage Master Study as being a necessary component to control the alluvial fan flooding in the area. This PROJECT will reduce the flood hazard in the area and complete the final step of a comprehensive solution to this drainage corridor. (C-69-22-123-X-02)
