99. PH RFP 230197 CONTRACTS SUPPORTING MARICOPA COUNTY’S LGBTQ+ POPULATION Pursuant to MC1-329 of the Maricopa County Procurement Code, authorize the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to execute one or more Public Health Request for Proposal (PH RFP) contracts, in a form approved by the County Attorney’s Office, to the successful bidder(s) in response to PH RFP 230197 Supporting Maricopa County’s LGBTQ+ Population. The RFP was released on May 30, 2023, and responses are due by 2:00pm on June 30, 2023. A Public Health Evaluation Committee will review all responses received utilizing evaluation criteria included in the RFP and select the most advantageous to Maricopa County. Successful respondents will be awarded funds to address health disparities that were created or worsened by the COVID-19 Pandemic in direct relation to the LGBTQ+ Community, who are struggling due to unequal access to resources that meet their needs. The contracts will be for 9 months, beginning on August 23, 2023 and ending May 31, 2024. The anticipated amount to be spent on this project is $1,000,000, with proposed budgets not-to-exceed $500,000 per entity. Funding is being provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Health Disparities Grant. Should the funding source cease and alternate funding not be available, Section 4.2 of the RFP, Availability of Funds, will apply allowing for a change or termination of the Agreement. If additional funds become available, any award resulting from this solicitation may be amended and/or extended based on the need for additional services to compliment the existing scope of work.
