1. HIRING OF CHIEF DEPUTY AND EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION PACKAGE Approve the hiring of Paul Ahler as the Chief Deputy County Attorney as recommended by County Attorney Richard Romley with a salary of $165,682 per year ($79.65 per hour) effective April 28, 2010. This item was discussed in executive session on April 28, 2010. Also, approve an Executive Compensation Package (ECP) for Paul Ahler, an unclassified Chief Deputy in the County Attorney's Office, authorizing a deposit of 80 hours of PTO and 40 hours of FML to his leave balance(s) and awarding a Schedule #5 Leave Accrual Rate effective April 28, 2010. If approved, Paul Ahler will become the Chief Deputy for the County Attorney effective April 28, 2010. Additionally the ECP agreement, if approved, will adjust the leave accrual rates for Paul Ahler to a Schedule 5 Leave Accrual Rate effective April 28, 2010. This ECP agreements will also authorize a deposit of 80 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of sick leave into the leave balances for Paul Ahler effective April 28, 2010. (C-19-10-030-M-00)

EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION PACKAGE Approve an Executive Compensation Package (ECP) for James Keppel, an unclassified Special Assistant in the County Attorney's Office, authorizing a deposit of 80 hours of PTO and 40 hours of FML to his leave balance(s) and awarding a Schedule #5 Leave Accrual Rate effective April 30, 2010. If approved, the ECP agreement will adjust the leave accrual rates for James Keppel to a Schedule 5 Leave Accrual Rate effective April 30, 2010. This ECP agreement will also authorize a deposit of 80 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of sick leave into the leave balances for James Ke ppel effective April 30, 2010. (C-19-10-031-M-00)
