60. CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 FOR GUADALUPE FRS INTERIM FIX FINAL DESIGN AND POST DESIGN Approve Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $350,000 to the contract that will allow the designer to remain as the engineer of record during the demolition and to write the completion report required by ADWR. The consultant will also assist the District with getting approval from ADWR and NRCS on the final permanent condition for the outlet. Black and Veatch Inc. has prepared plans at the 100% level for the complete demolition of the existing intake structure and its replacement with a gated inlet located on the dam embankment. Those plans have not been approved by either ADWR or NRCS. The gated inlet construction cost is estimated to be over $500,000 for what was to be the interim condition. The District wants to avoid expending those funds without knowing what the approved final long-term solution can be. History has shown that it could take considerable time to get approval from NRCS and a waiver on the outlet pipe size from ADWR. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisorial District 5. (C-69-21-074-X-02)
