JUVENILE PROBATION POSITIONS REQUEST Approve exemptions to the FY10 Post Employment Health Plan Enhancement Program (PEHPEP) requirement to delete positions being vacated as a result of employees’ participation in the plan. The Juvenile Probation Department will need to rehire for the following positions: Director-Probation (PCN-1312) and Probation Manager (PCN-19038). 4. EXEMPTION TO THE POST EMPLOYMENT HEALTH PLAN ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM Approve an exemption to the FY 2009-10 Post Employment Health Plan Enhancement Program (PEHPEP) requirement to delete three positions being vacated as a result of the employees' participation in the plan. Approve the Adult Probation Department to rehire for the following positions: Program Manager (PCN 66178), Deputy Director (PCN 10890 and Deputy Director (PCN 32657). Creation of these positions is necessary because Adult Probation is a large department which is undergoing major programmatic changes due to funding shortages. Only three Deputy Director positions exist and Adult Probation cannot operate with only one. Additionally, one Program Manager position was already inactivated during a previous round of budget reductions. Approve an exemption to the PEHPEP in order to recruit for PCN 66178 with the range of $30.88 to $37.62, PCN 10890 with the range of $40.91 to $50.42 and PCN 32657 with the range of $40.91 to $47.46. Positions 66178, 10890 and 32657 will be vacated as a result of the employees' participation in the FY 2009-10 Post Employment Health Plan Enhancement Program (PEHPEP) by the end of February 2010. Through these employee's retirements and the ability to rehire at the above ranges, the Adult Probation Department will achieve an annualized savings of approximately $38,022. (C-11-10-009-2-00)
