District of Maricopa County, in an estimated total project amount of $1,600,000, of which the

2. Contract No. 2026-079-COS, a development agreement with Optima Camelview Village
Condominium Association, delegating the City’s financial responsibility under the IGA to Optima

Public Comment time is reserved for Scottsdale citizens, business owners, and/or property owners to
comment on non-agendized items that are within the Council’s jurisdiction. No official Council action can be
taken on these items. Advocacy for or against a candidate or ballot measure during a Council meeting is not
allowed pursuant to State law and is therefore not deemed to be within the Council’s jurisdiction.
Public Comment is limited to a maximum of 12 speakers and a total of 36 minutes. Speakers are limited
to three minutes to address the Council during “Public Comment.” A Request to Speak form must
be submitted before the Mayor announces the Public Comment period.
– Dan Ishac, Scottsdale resident, continued his discussion on the elimination of the Diversity, Equity
and Inclusion (DEI) Program; examples of diversity; lack of City funding for Juneteenth events; City
funding for other cultural events; lack of City funding for Pride events, and the City possibly violating
the DEI prohibition.

Citizen Petitions: This portion of the agenda is reserved for the submission, presentation, and
consideration of citizen petitions. There is no limit on the number of petitions a citizen may submit;

Scottsdale’s Museum of the West Marketing Funding Agreement.
– There was Council consensus in support of the following items:
• The grand opening of the Louis Sands IV Center expansion was well done and very
enjoyable to attend.
• The focused funding provided by the City was well used by the Museum of the West.
– Councilmembers made the following observations and suggestions:
• Ensure Councilmembers are on mailing lists regarding upcoming programs and events.
• Make sure schools throughout the State have an opportunity to learn about curation,
archeology, preservation, internships and workshops.
• Looking forward to having a Councilmember serve on the Museum of the West’s Board
of Trustees.
• Possibly work with the Mayor’s Downtown Scottsdale Task Force on possible
opportunities to involve Downtown business owners.
• Should have Eddie Basha Day at the Museum to honor him on his birthday.
• Should do advertising on the Old Town Trolley and in City venues, such as senior
centers, community centers and libraries.
• Multi generations of families can enjoy the Museum.
