Approving and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Town of Gilbert and Maricopa County for the improvements to Power Road from State Route 202 (Santan Freeway) to the East Maricopa Floodway. The estimated project costs are $61,315,900 with the City of Mesa’s portion at $22,386,364 (36.51%), Town of Gilbert at $21,190,441 (34.56%), and Maricopa County at $17,739,095 (28.93%). Under the current funding schedule, Maricopa County’s initial construction payment will not be available before July 1, 2031, construction is therefore currently not anticipated until Fiscal Year 2032.
