6. ROAD DE-ANNEXATION FROM THE TOWN OF WICKENBURG TO MARICOPA COUNTY Pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-471.03 regarding the de-annexing road right-of-way from Town of Wickenburg jurisdiction to Maricopa County. Right-of-way location: Steinway Drive from Manrad Drive to Duffy Road. Supervisory District No. 4. The Board of Supervisors determined at a public hearing on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, that such action would be in the public interest and has complied with the additional requirements of A.R.S. § 9-471.03. If approved, the Board of Supervisors: 1. Orders that the public right-of-way be returned as specified in Town of Wickenburg Ordinance No. 1178, returning the public right-of-way to Maricopa County. 2. Pursuant to ARS § 9-471.02, directs the Clerk of the Board to notify the Town of Wickenburg that the Board of Supervisors order regarding the de-annexation of the public right-of-way was approved, and 3. Directs the Clerk of the Board to certify a copy of the order of the Board and file it for record in the Office of the County Recorder. Legal description of the roadway being de-annexed, identified as Exhibit "A", is attached. MCDOT Analysis: MCDOT and the Town of Wickenburg have reviewed the request and determined this deannexation to be in the best interest of the public to more effectively use public resources. Deannexing the half street will allow for a better use of resources for one agency to more efficiently maintain the roadway. Financial Status: It is estimated, the additional maintenance will cost the County $2,500 per year. The Board action will result to add 0.00325 square miles to County ownership and enable the County to assume responsibility for road maintenance. (C-06-18-430-7-00)

This funding provides contracted special education consulting services for staff training and IDEA implementation along with a variety of contracted professional services for juvenile inmates. The term of this funding is from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
